In the Northern Cape we say "follow the sun, not the crowds."
Greatbatch is named after the legendary architect of the turn of the previous century, Daniel Westwood Greatbatch; this house was designed by him as his residence.
DW Greatbatch was responsible for the design of several outstanding buildings such as the Sanatorium, Theatre Royal, 3rd building Kimberley Club, Dunluce, Synagogue etc.
Situated on the Belgravia historic route we are close to shops, restaurants, pubs and museums.
Graded as a 3 star by TGCSA and is a member of the Guesthouse Association of SA.
Our dormitory is divided in two parts to cater for ladies and gents separately. It can sleep 20 people in total and has an ablution facility with two showers and two toilets. The theme of the dormitory is “Diggers den” and takes you back in time with the old notices and other items out of the Mining industry of yester year.
