MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME at AGAPANTHUS ACCOMMODATION - my fully-furnished, self-catering, corner double-storey home in Agapanthus Avenue, Devils Peak, Cape Town.
This home is situated on the slopes of Table Mountain, has beautiful, exquisite, uninterrupted and panoramic views of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill, the cable car, the whole of the city centre, Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island as well as a view of the FIFA World Cup Stadium, Green Point in the distance. On a clear day, spectacular sunsets can be seen from both front wooden decks – downstairs & upstairs. A perfect balcony for binoculars!!
Across the road alongside the house, there is a well-kept grassed area/park with benches and where ‘a river runs through it’ down from Table Mountain. Here, locals enjoy the greenery and tranquillity of the sound of the stream while they picnic, walk their dog or just laze around.
The house consists of 5 private lockable bedrooms. Both upstairs & downstairs floors have open-plan kitchen, lounge & dining room, bathroom & wooden-deck balcony overlooking the whole of Cape Town. The entire house is secured with Trellidors throughout.
At the moment, I have international students from Mauritius, Holland, Germany, the UK, France & Austria who are all getting on well together, studying, sharing and also having fun.
I am pet-friendly and have cats and an adorable small dog.
There is a safe bus or taxi route from the house into town. A 5min walk is all it takes to get to the local supermarket, Kwikspar and Tops Bottle Store, Wash-A-Pleasure Laundromat, The Health Junction Wellness & Spa Centre, General Practitioner, Dr De Andrade, Carlisle’s Restaurant/Pub, Raw Eaterie, Bella Italia Restaurant, The Red Sofa Video shop, Aromatherapy studio, Absolut hairdresser and The Sidewalk Café bistro. 10mins away is the Gardens Centre shopping mall, 15mins to the city centre & Cape Town Police station, 10 mins to local schools, colleges & churches & 20mins to the beach, the World Cup Stadium & Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
On occupation of your room, it will include the following ::
1 A set of keys handed to you personally;
2 A spacious lock-up room with single/double bed, bedside table & lamp, rug, wooden slatted blinds, dressing table with mirror, wardrobe with hanging and packing space, weekly change of clean linen and desk (optional).
3 Use of the entertainment area downstairs which has an enclosed barbecue/braai facility, dart board and lock-up pub with TV & piano. Invite all your friends and enjoy this space during your stay; Have a party.... go mad!!
4 Juliana, a reliable house domestic lady will attend to the weekly cleaning of the house and your bedroom (if requested);
5 Wifi ‘Pay-As-You-Go’ for everyone.
6 Access to Top TV channels.
7 Mr Delivery menu and service is at your disposal anytime you wish to order delicious food and drinks from various restaurants in the centre of the city.
8 Not only do you have a room here but you have free access to the entire house. If your room is situated downstairs and you would like to sit on the upstairs balcony, you can with pleasure and vice versa. It’s all here for you to enjoy.
9 Enjoy lazing around the rock splash pool which is situated in the little garden on the side of the house – available for your use and leisure anytime.
10 Behind the house is the famous Devils Peak mountain (on the side of Table Mountain) where you can either cycle or follow many beautiful mountain paths. There is an old mine quarry which one can admire and where one can picnic too. When there is a fire on the mountain, helicopters use the water in this quarry to put out the fires.

12 DEPOSIT & RATES
One month’s deposit is required on 1st day of occupancy.
Daily rates are R200,00 / (€26) / (£25) pppn
Weekly = R1000,00 / (€110) / (£90)
Monthly = from R2500,00 (€260) / (£215)pm to R4500,00 (€465) / (£400).
All comfortably furnished.
